A researcher of viruses of citrus, grapevines and fruit trees in
the Department of Plant Pathology at the Agricultural Research Organization-the
Volcanic Center. The laboratory of Dr. Mawassi deals with identification and
molecular characterization of viruses, etiology, development of resistance to
viruses, basic research for understanding the function of genes of viruses and the
use of viruses as a biotechnological tools for protein expression in plants.
