João Germano e Silva is the Business Development Director of Agricultiva, the Mitrelli Group food security company. Additionally, he is pursuing his MA studies in Energy and Sustainability at the University of Cumbria, UK.

He is extremely passionate about Angola and its development, and being involved in many projects throughout his career has given him the global view of Angola’s needs and the perspective that a lot can be done to navigate this nation’s path.

With over 25 years of experience in management and development programs in Angola, his work represents more than 650M$ in different projects, involving more than 600 direct individuals and many other sub-contractors.

He speaks fluent English, French, Spanish and Portuguese, which enables him to work with many different counter-parts, globally, clients and local work force alike.

During his 3 years of working in Mitrelli Group he got the opportunity to get closer to the real needs of Angola’s people, and work together with key decision-making individuals.

As a proud nationalist and father of 3 amazing kids, he sees is as his own personal responsibility to promote projects that impact and make it better to live and grow in this country.
