I am an economist and a development and food security expert. My research and my work center around environmental and sustainable development of agriculture, so that it could provide food and livelihoods while supporting natural resources.

I worked for many years for Israeli consultant firms, developing farms and agri-business all over the world, and especially in developing countries in Africa, Eastern Europe and South America. In Israel I consult for the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Planning Authority, the Land Administration Authority, rural municipalities, and farmers organizations.

I am also an active scientist, working for the Institute of Open Landscape at the Tel Aviv University, and for Yesodot Policy Research Institute, on research of agro-ecology, rural development and food security.
